Methodological report. Postgrowth S.A.: Alimentación
Abstract
Postgrowth S.A.: Alimentación was a citizen science action carried out during the 2025-2026 school year at IES Luís Seoane in Pontevedra. Its scientific aim was to understand the food consumption pattern of households in the municipality, the social and material factors that explain it and the associated greenhouse gas emissions, with the intention of detecting differences between urban, peri-urban and rural areas. The results were meant to feed into the work of the Citizens' Climate Committee, a group of local residents drawing up proposals to reduce the carbon footprint of food in Pontevedra.
